অনেকে এটাকে বলছেন 'মাস কিলিং'। আবার কারোর মতে এটা নৃশংস হত্যা। অমৃতসরের কাছে চৌরা বাজারের দুরন্ত গতিতে ছুটে যাওয়া ট্রেনের ভিডিও প্রকাশ হতেই এমন সব মন্তব্য শুরু হয়েছে।
অনেকে এটাকে বলছেন 'মাস কিলিং'। আবার কারোর মতে এটা নৃশংস হত্যা। অমৃতসরের কাছে চৌরা বাজারের দুরন্ত গতিতে ছুটে যাওয়া ট্রেনের ভিডিও প্রকাশ হতেই এমন সব মন্তব্য শুরু হয়েছে। এদিন অমৃতসর সিভিল হাসপাতালে আহতদের দেখতে যান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অমরিন্দর সিং। জখমদের সবরকম সাহায্যের আশ্বাস দেন তিনি। মৃতদের পরিবারের সঙ্গে কথাও বলেন। পরে সাংবাদমাধ্যমের মুখোমুখি হয়ে এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনায় ঠিক কত জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে এবং কত জন আহত হয়েছেন- সেই সংখ্যাটা ঘোষণা করেন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অমরিন্দ সিং জানান, এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনায় ৫৯ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আর জখম হয়েছেন ৫৭ জন। ঘটনার ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট পর্যায়ের তদন্ত নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে বলেও জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
চৌরা বাজারে রেললাইনের ধার ঘেঁষে বিশাল আকারে রামলিলার আসর বসাটা কোনও নতুন ঘটনা নয়। বহু বছর ধরেই এখানে রামলিলার উৎসব হয়। কিন্তু কোনওদিনই রেল লাইনে-র উপরে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা মানুষদের উপরে ট্রেন উঠে গিয়েছে এমনটা জানা যায়নি। গতকাল যেভাবে উৎসবে শরিক হওয়া মানুষদের উপর দিয়ে ছুটন্ত ট্রেন চলে গিয়েছে তাতে হতবাক সকলে।
